not caused by a glacier either piece of the mountain broke off or i know there is a plate boundery really close to alaska so couldve been caused by a convergent boundery one plate was being subducted and the friction of the plate being pushed under pushes the other plate down and it springs back up that is what caused the indonesia tsunami

I've seen this before and they said that a part of the mountain broke away and slid down into the bay causing the wave.
