primus1121 he IS playing behind some capo's. the ones he's using are sometimes sawed off, filed through the middle, backwards, or just banjo capo's. this means that a string can run "through" where it looks like it has been stopped, and actually be stopped way back at the second fret (first capo). it sounds like there is only one string that is forced all the way up at the last capo. confusing but means he can play in up to four octaves at once.

oh alright thanks. it just didnt make sense to me because in some parts it looks like he has some fingers setup behind the capo which completely confused me

probably cause he wants each string to sound different. good idea thou. some strings will be higher pitched then others.
