xeca09 - Isn't hindsight a wonderful thing? but it's exactly what happened & will happen. How can you discount the 1978/9 winter of discontent so trivially. The very workers whom you claim to support were dividing & causing so much pain, discomfort & death to the very communities you also claim to care about. You're sitting on the fence & surely live uncomfortably in both camps.

It was a rhetorical question. I didnt expect you to answer it because i knew that you (like every other predictable Thatcherite) would blame the trade unions for stirring up trouble amongst workers.Im sorry but he doesnt have control of all three. Just as it is possible to have the US Senate, HoR controlled by one party, it is the same in venezuela. He was given Presidential decree by Parliament which had the right to remove it at any time. Venezuela is not a dictatorship.

xeca09 - Well yes, I'm limited to 500 characters like you. The US whilst having a head of state that's the head of government has congress & the house of representatives to answer to & can't simply create & pass laws as he/she wishes, ie doesn't control the 3 elements of a constitution which are judiciary, legislature & administration. How can your apparent view not involve government interference?

xeca09 - You ask me a question, reply for me, then type that I'm stupid for having the opinion you think - now that's stupidity. The reason that you'd get 1000,s of workers with a grievance that's worth complaining about has be proven by experience. The unions cause the trouble & then encourage their workers to pursue industrial action. The union leaders usually live in expensive houses, drive executive cars paid for by their members - think Scargill, Gormley et al.

By your definition the USA is also a dictatorship. Because their head of state is also their president. Same in France. In fact basically any Republic. So watch how you thow the term dictatorship about. Anyway, i digress. My attitudes arent socialist. In basis they are, but I dont believe in state ownership of everything. As i have already explained to you im too libertatrian to be a socialist as as i dont approve of the governemnt being to involved in peoples lives...

xeca09 -Spain was conservative until the Madrid bombings, they were also expected to be re-elected too.The socialists won due to the Tories involvement in Iraq,I live here & was here then & know this from the people. Venezuela is run by a president who is also head of state which means it's a dictatorship. The words "for a while" emphasise my point re your other examples.Nationalisation of companies is very much a trait of socialism as are your attitudes, it's socialism whether you like it or not

And pray tell what do you do when the majority of wokers have a greivance.Have 1000s of workers line up at the door and ask the boss nicely? Do not be so stupid. Do you not fail to realise that people maybe couldnt afford to just quite their jobs and wait for another one to come along. And applying for a job that you werent qualified for wasnt going to go well.

And it is my intention to one day run as an SNP candidate. But You miss some important things. Im 17 so I cant. Im at Uni so Im a bit busy. And i lack experience.Give me a few years and I will. But again, you're making irrelevant points.Stop it.

xeca09 ..cont'd When profitable businesses offer jobs they are real, not manufactured ones, and are available because the company is profitable. You work for that company if you want to apply & are offered the job & agree terms. If you then find you don't like the job, or the terms are no longer acceptable, go & see the boss. If no resolution is forthcoming GO GET ANOTHER JOB. If you're worth keeping the matter is usually resolved, if not look within to find out why & try & improve.

Im sick of this. SOCIALISM ISNT THE ONLY ALTERNATIVE. Now ive put that in big letters for you to read cos you obviously arent getting that concept.Spain is run by the Socialist, Venezuela, Portugal was for a while, France intermitently was.... Socialism does actually work whether you like it or not. It does not breed sloth and envy at all.And branson attended two of the countries most prestigious schools. So he knows all about having a silver spoon in his mouth... |
