I love how the tory supporters all pile on the comments. I'm not saying Labour's good either but the Tories are the most evil party in existence (besides the BNP of course).

I have experience of being deemed a far right lunatic because of my views. The thing is with liberals, they think they are the only people with 'progressive' views, and whoever thinks differently from them are 'morons' according to their doctrine. Most teachers have left wing agenda's. I'm taunted by pupils and teachers for being a social conservative and free market believer, but I have my own mind unlike them mindless drones!

Maybe I was a little harsh about his age, but I just felt that his history knowledge was probably based on what his liberal-lefty student mates have told him :) There's a hell of a lot of brainwashing which goes on in both schools and colleges these days. You can easily get branded 'right wing' purely for just having a difference of opinion in some liberal circles. Thatcher was far from perfect. But at least she came across as strong, and not limp-wristed like many of these liberal-softies!

Perhaps a little harsh towards his age. I'm 18, and I am from a working class family of ex miners, but Thatcher is my political hero, purely for creating a free market meritocracy that encouraged individualism and free enterpise, but I'm an amateur historian! You are right in that teenagers think it is cool to be left wing. A lot of my peers think it is hip and trendy to quote from the ''Little Red Book,'' and preach the joys of Marxism. If only they knew...

Fourth wealthies country? Only because Thatcher screwed down the decent normal working people. Negetive equity, manufacturing base destroyed, coal mines closed, etc. etc..... The country may have prospered (Like China now?) but that didn't help the suffering of the 'person in the street'. I know because I remember (and will never forgive!).

FACT: Every Labour Government since 1924 has left the country in administrative chaos and bankrupt.This one will be no different. When they came to power the UK had the best private pension provision in the world. Blair Brown and Balls robbed the Pension funds 3 months after taking control.....Result: Pensioners living in poverty having had their pensions STOLEN by labour and wasted on benefits for lazy no-good wankers who have never worked a day in their lives.
