I didn't think sarcasm could come from a dumb Brit like yourself. I didn't know Brits were capable of that, I'm sorry. I'm not a plastic Paddy bitch. My parents are from Ireland. A plastic paddy is someone who's great grea great great grandma's uncles brother's wife came from Ireland and they're all proud of that. I know plenty of plastic paddy's here. I'm not one of them. I lived in Ireland for most of my early childhood and had an accent but lost it when I came to America when I was 8. STFU

Do you really think so, is Tipperary famous for it's heavy industry, cannel system and prostitutes? lol.when he sang Fairytale of New York, he was really singing about Tunbridge Wells, Kent, England where he was born.

Just because it was originally written about Salford doesn't mean Shane is singing about Salford... I think Shane's singing about that town in Tipperary he's from.

The best version of this song is by the guy who wrote it, Ewan MacColl (real name James Miller) singing it with his daughter Kirsty MacColl, R.I.P., the songs about his own town Salford, Manchester.I can't find it on Youtube, if anyone has the song could they please put it up. thanks.
