Very sad day when Al died. Not only was he a great driver, but an even better team leader. The contribution to motorsports is huge, his legacy is this fantastic car. seen the world over.

I SURE DO MISS THIS CIRCUIT AND THIS CAR. i USED TO WATCH THE 6 HOURS OF RIVERSIDE EVERY YEAR. AL HOLBERT AND DEREK BELL WERE SUCH GREAT TEAMATES AND IMPECCABLE DRIVING SKILLS THAT COMPLEMENTED ONE ANOTHER. GODSPEED TO YOU AL, THANK YOU FOR BEING SUCH A GREAT RACER AND MAN AND WE HOPE TO SEE YOU RACING IN HEAVEN SOMEDAY...RIP!!!

Every time I get my car serviced at Holbert's in Warrington PA I gaze at, and caress this car. It has it's own shrine in the Porsche showroom!

Godspeed Al. Al lived two miles from where Smokey Yunick grew up, they were both giants of motor racing. That car was magic.
