Well those guys are fighting unprotected and they need to survive 50 min. long. Dont know if you ever fight before, but you cant fight for 50 min. long. Maybe 5 / 10 min. and then your face is busted or your to tired to stand...

if you want to see why historical football is considered hard as hell search for videos of old games.. i've seen some of these videos and.. trust me.. really breath-taking and painful! never seen something like this!!

the videos on youtube doesn't show how really hard is the game, keep in mind that as of 2006 new rules have been written to make the game less dangerous for the players (imagine why).how many sports allow to play without protection? how many sports allow to punch in the face? how many sports allow to kick the head of your opponents while he is on the ground?also keep in mind that the teams playing historical football are quarter team from florence.
