Vorenus is perhaps one of the best characters written into a script ever! A conflicted man TRYING to do what is right, when what is wrong is all around him. His inability to articulate WHY he does - blind allegiance to an idea - traps him over-and-over, including his own family.Apply this concept to modern times, Vorenus is the stalwart thug of the political machine - duped into believing that the cause (the marching orders) is the ONLY thing worth dying for. In the end, he knows he was wrong.

This series lends itself well to montage because of it's concept of time. The beauty of the series is that we are contemporaries with these characters; they live with us. Just like their stories are eternal because they show the range and depth of human emotion, and they attempt to recreate real people of the past, we reflect on our own stories and aspects of our own character. Very few series were as ambitious, and as hastily ended. It was too much and not enough; a series fitting for Rome.

Gosh. I LOVE the show. I just thought they way they had Vorenus died was cheesey and lame. I also wish they didn't skip ALL the epic battles from the civil war. Still a badass show though. The up close fighting was done so well.

McKidd is Scottish. Vorenus RULES. One hard core MF who's principles and courage will not bend. My favorite character on a show on which I loved ALL the characters. Great show, great video, thanks partner! I tell you what, Vorenus is one guy you could count on if he was watching your back. Pullo too.
