I think think he may disconnected the auto throttle at 0:53, see that there is only a yellow warning on centre screen (EICAS), gear down warning is usually red and stays on until gears are actually down which takes a while, also flaps at 0:53 at 20 so they probably were still a fare distance away from the runway....

I don't think the Radio Altimeter is situated in the nose cone. It's situated along the centreline of the body somewhere near the wings. The nose cone only houses the weather radar.
