only if you build one that goes back to 1930's ,this one goes back to when you switch it on ,switch it on in 2000 and you can go back to 2000 ,switch it on in 2000 but you cannot go back to 1930 in the one he is building

I see, so when he first starts the machine it will cause the light to charge up and set up the first worm hole (theoretically) and the worm hole will flow with the moving of time, but since the instance it is turned on it collapses in on itself a new worm hole will form for every instance of time from when its turned on to the present? So I wonder how many people are gonna jump in before they realize that no substance can stay a solid on a macroscopic level at the speed of light?

I only have one question, how would he know where the particle ended up? Im assuming he would have to send the particle to another time where he has the machine still so that he could talk to himself.

Did you not watch him say that you can only go back as far as the machine was turned on? So you can't go back and kill the inventor before the machine was built because he would have just turned it on.

Just like on TV the ticker at the bottom is eye catching and you have to watch it instead of what is on TV.

This is so awesome. But, what I fear most about this is the fact that the theory of relativity is not yet proven. What if it is wrong? Relativity and Quantum Theory both vie against one another. If they are both wrong, than none of this is true. So, why not work to try and prove these theories true, then focus on time travel?

I just checked his book out from the library. I'm going to start reading it today :)If this time machine is successful, I can only hope that it would become public.I would travel back to meet my earliest ancestor and find out credible information related to my hereditary origin. |
