Menorca is like a beautiful, rosy apple with a black centre. Lovely for a holiday, but never invest any money there or you may well be ripped-off. It has been known for many years by the Spanish mainlanders as " The Island of Crooks and Con-men ". It is wonderful for a family holiday and safe as houses for small kids and pensioners. No good for " Ibiza-type" parties, so 18 - 30´s forget it !

Menorca is nice but the cost of food/drink there is double and some times treble the cost of uk prices.IE...cadburies twirl chocolate bar 2.20Efamous grouse and coke at hotel = 5.50ELoaf of bread 3E...and with these high prices you are also pressured to leave tips for nearly every transaction. If they keep that up i think people will stop going there.....shame cause its a lovely island

in Menorca the 2 / 3 of the beaches are virgins. Here, nobody has the right to build on the coast because the island is biosphere reserve.the tourism areas were build before that the island was named reserve in 1992. No politician can do anything, even a politic tried to do it and imprisoned him. Besides, in the area of northern fishing is forbidden.

The spanish politics don't keep cure from Menorca. They're only interested in tourist, and now It's look like a germany colony, but the most important think is the island ecology, they don't protect it.FREEDOM PAÏSOS CATALANS!!!

There's something about these shorts that reminds me of Monty Python's 'More f***ing gondolas' sketch from 'And Now for Something Completely Different' |
