michaelsark - you're right, she was a hell of a Prime Minister, not to be taken lightly and always had a clear view of what she wanted to happen. Browns view appears a little misty. She put the Great back into Great Britain after the abysmal performance of the Labour 70's. Unless you were there you can never know how bad that was. Mrs T's mid 80's were the best times, economic growth, money in everyones pockets (that wanted to work hard), I'd be back paying taxes in the UK if there was another.
