20 THINGS TO SEE IN ROME (off the “beaten track”): 1) Frulatti/fruit milkshake bar - near Largo Argentina. 2) "I Monasteri" shop (products produced by monks) - at one end of Piazza Navona. 3) "Tre Scalini" Bar in Piazza Navona - have a "tartuffo" there. 4) "Tazza d'Oro" Bar in Piazza del Panteon - have a coffee there. 5) "Santo Eustachio" Bar near Piazza Navona - have a coffee there. 6) Go to Tivoli (just outside of Rome) to see Villa d'Este fountains. 7) "I Capuccini" monks above-ground cemetery - between Piazza Barberini and Via Veneto. 8) "I Papirus" stationery store near the Spanish Steps. Proceed one block toward the Trevi Fountain from MacDonald's or the Spanish Steps and turn left on the first or second side street. 9) Santa Maria della Vittoria in Piazza Repubblica - church where I was married. 10) Via Colle di Rienzo (off the "beaten track" in Rome) - ask for directions (my favorite shopping area). 11) Campo dei Fiori open market near Largo Argentina (flowers, fish, produce). 12) The Jewish Ghetto near the Campo dei Fiori market - have a "carciofo alla Judea" in a restaurant there and go to a Jewish pastry shop. 13) Visit the Santa Maria Maggiore cathedral, near the Termini train station. 14) Ask for the Libreria dell'Occulto e della Paranormale near the Santa Maria Maggiore cathedral. 15) Visit "Giolitti's" near the Pantheon for the best ice cream in Rome. 16) Go to Trastevere in Rome and have a pizza at "Ivo's" Pizzeria. 17) On Sunday, go to the Porta Portese open market near Trastevere. Beware of small gypsies and pick-pockets. 18) Go to another favorite shopping area (Piazza Colonna, Piazza del Populo area in downtown Rome). See the Italian Parliament there also. 19) Visit the Villa Borghese park in downtown Rome. 20) Go to the large bookstore across the street from the department store at Piazza Colonna. I forget the name of the bookstore. Ojala te sirvan. Y buen viaje
