Avril Lavigne es una reconocida cantante de musica pop-punk canadiense.
Nacio el 27 de septiembre de 1984 en Belleville.
Desde niña siempre supo lo que queria para su vida: la musica.
Comenzo cantando en el coro de la iglesia.
A la edad de 13 años Avril gano un concurso para cantar con la cantante canadiense Shania Twain en un concierto en Ottawa, en el que cantaron a duo "What made you say that?".
A los 16 años viajo a probar fortuna a Estado Unidos y le fue muy bien ya que ese mismo añograbo su primer album (salio a la venta en Estados Unidos, el 4 de junio de 2002) con ventas superiores a los 14 millones de copias y por el que obtuvo ocho nominaciones a los premios Grammy.
Su segundo album de estudio se titulo "Under My Skin" y salio a la venta en Estados Unidos el 25 de mayo de 2004.
Su tercer disco, titulado "The Best Damn Thing, salio a la venta el 17 de abril de 2007
